Observations of seasonal changes at the Audubon Conservation Education Center, Billings, Montana
THE WHO, WHAT AND WHERE
Montana Audubon's Conservation Education Center provides an outdoor classroom and field lab for students of all ages in Billings, Montana. It was created through a partnership between the Yellowstone River Parks Association and Montana Audubon.
The Phenological Field Notes blog will record observations of the seasonal changes in the natural world here at the Audubon Center. Phenology is the study of natural phenomena that occur periodically, such as migration or the blossoming of flowers. As naturalists, we study these changes through observations of plants, birds, mammals, insects, fish and anything else that wanders, wiggles, or flies our way.
Come and experience for yourself the beautiful trails, ponds and Eastern Montana habitats daily during daylight hours. Visit us at 7026 South Billings Boulevard, 1/4 mile south of I-90. For more information go to www.mtacec.org for a complete listing of events and activities.
